Montemar stands on Isabela, the largest island of the Galápagos, on a stretch of coast within the national park's rules rather than on a private island of its own — a distinction this register records rather than smooths over. What is exclusive is the property: two villas let to a single party of up to eight, with nobody else in residence.
The stay is built around the archipelago rather than the building: resident naturalist guides, a private boat and access to areas of the park that require permits and a licensed guide. Ecuador's park regulations govern where guests may go, how many may go and with whom, which shapes the itinerary more than the property does.
The park sets the rules, not the property. Galápagos access is regulated to a degree found nowhere else in this register, and the guides exist to work within it.

Who it is not for
Montemar is wrong for travellers expecting a private island — Isabela is inhabited and this is a villa property on it. It is wrong for guests who want to roam freely, since the park restricts access. And it is wrong for those wanting comfort over wildlife; the archipelago is the entire reason to come. Those wanting a true private island in the Pacific should look at Islas Secas.
