What happens when we are wrong
Errors are corrected forward, not erased. A correction is dated and the earlier statement stays visible in the record, because a register that silently rewrites itself cannot be checked.
Anyone may report an error: guests, agents, and the properties themselves. Corrections from a property are marked as coming from the property, which is information rather than a weakness.
Facts are corrected on evidence. Editorial judgement — which shelf a property sits on, who it is not for — is reconsidered on argument, and where it changes, the change is recorded in the annual Edition.
Every record carries a Report a correction link. It reaches the editors directly with the code already in the subject line.
