What has changed
Corrections, withdrawals and reclassifications, dated, with the grounds for each.
The corrections policy on this site says that an error is corrected forward rather than erased. This page is where that happens. Withdrawals are read from the register itself and cannot drift from it; editorial changes are written here by hand, and each carries why rather than only what.
Four addresses published by this register had died silently when their records were renamed — isolaria, lubrense-private-island and the two Shebara villa pages. 301s are now written for all four. The build keeps a ledger of published addresses, so a rename writes its own redirect from now on.
Google Search Console reports 214 of 336 known pages indexed. The orphan check only ever looked inside the current build; an address that existed yesterday and not today was invisible to it. Separately, 25 country pages holding a single record are now noindex and out of the sitemap: a page whose whole content is one link to a record duplicates that record, and asking a search engine to index it is asking for the refusal it gives.
The generator now reads a collection from its own directory, and this register lives in one place instead of being copied into the kit archive at packaging time.
The copy was the cause of yesterday's loss: the archive drifted four days behind the site and the working copy vanished between them. Nothing is copied now, so nothing can drift. python3 build.py examples/private-island-resorts builds this register from where it lives.
The working copy of this register was lost and rebuilt from the published kit, and sixteen of the last eighteen editorial decisions had to be re-applied from the record of what was decided.
The kit archive carried an older copy of this collection's data than the site did, because the data is copied into the kit at packaging time rather than read from it. Every re-applied edit was verified against the decision that produced it before being written back. The packaging order is the defect and it is the collection's, not the kit's.
1 record withdrawn: Lubrense Private Island (Amalfi)
duplicate record of one physical object · card audit under HOUSE-RULING-32 §1
Four cards read against their sources. Removed as unsupported: at Ariara, 'eighteen hundred uninhabited islands' (the archipelago has more than 1,700 islands, many but not all uninhabited), a named list of boats (the sources give six, including a schooner), and 'almost no hotel development'. At JW Marriott Venice, 'before that a monastery' — the island is artificial, built from dredgings in the 1860s — and 'military hospital' (it was a hospital for contagious disease); the crossing corrected from sixteen minutes to twenty. At Raffles Udaipur, 'most with private pools' (many), 'built low around courtyards', and 'one of the group's larger Indian houses' (it is the group's first in India). At Club Med Seychelles, 'five beaches' (three), 'ten minutes' (fifteen), and the claim that the park predates every hotel on the island.
HOUSE-RULING-32 §1. Each sentence had been written to fill a paragraph to its minimum. Where the sources supported a better fact it replaced the invented one; where they did not, the paragraph was left shorter. Each card now names the source behind each statement.
The site kit had been shipping this register's hub introductions and this change log as the default text for every collection, and one sister register published this log as its own.
HOUSE-RULING-32 §2. The kit now ships content files empty with this register's texts under examples/, and the build refuses to publish any introduction or change entry naming another collection's series unless the cross-reference is declared.
Two property keys confirmed as duplicates of this register's own: PRP-00849 Lizard Island Resort is the same physical object as PRP-00250 Lizard Island, and PRP-00765 Royal Davui Island Resort the same as PRP-00379 Royal Davui Island.
Each island carries one resort and nothing else, so the resort and the island are one object; the second key in each pair entered through another collection. This register already read them as held here in the review of 18 September. Which key survives is the House's decision.
Private Resorts answered the shared-island referral: Kisawa accepted as LHL-E-380, Azura Benguerra and qualia already held there, and four declined — Amanwana, Fisher Island Club, Sunset Key Cottages and Montemar.
Their own reading, not ours: a sensor asking whether the property owns enough land to be a world of its own. The four declined records are now held by no collection of the House. Sonora and Anantara Bazaruto remain open, the second taken last and on its own.
Introductions written for every hub of the register: seven collections, fourteen water regions, twelve editorial series and the thirteen countries carrying five records or more.
Counts inside those texts are computed from the register at build time rather than typed, after five of the first seven were found to have drifted within two days.
Eight records left the register under the shared-island test: an island carrying life that does not depend on the resort is not an island that defines the experience.
HOUSE-RULING-14. Each keeps its address, its standfirst and a tombstone naming where it went.
LHL-I-124 · LHL-I-062 · LHL-I-076 · LHL-I-078 · LHL-I-155 · LHL-I-157 · LHL-I-206 · LHL-I-212
Kisawa Sanctuary withdrawn. Benguerra carries fishing villages and a second lodge; Kisawa holds 300 hectares at one end.
HOUSE-RULING-13 §3, confirmed by this register from its own published card text. Accepted by Private Resorts as LHL-E-380.
Shebara corrected from one island to four. Two of them carry a four-villa ensemble each, let entire, and were entered under their own codes.
Established on the island in September 2026 and confirmed by the Library on 17 September. The earlier entry called each islet a single villa; that came from the booking pages and was wrong.
Four island addresses were repaired. Île des Deux Cocos had been published at le-des-deux-cocos and Île de Cavallo at h-tel-and-spa-des-p-cheurs.
The slug discarded diacritics instead of transliterating them, which ate the first letter. Six 301 redirects keep the old links working.
Laucala moved off Little Paradises to Island Resorts.
Twenty-five villas, but an airstrip, a working farm and a golf course. Key count alone had put it on the wrong shelf.
Icons & Visionaries reduced from forty-nine records to thirty-five, and the wilderness tag split from conservation.
Forty-nine meant 'had a well-known founder', a fact about the buyer. The series now requires a recorded intention. Separately, every wild island had been marked conservation and every conservation island wild, so neither word said anything.
Thirty-five Library house codes carried by this project since its early waves were deleted rather than corrected.
They pointed at other houses entirely: LHL-H-033 holds Trisara, not Soneva Fushi. None had ever appeared on a published page. Withdrawn values are now kept in a field rather than deleted, so the same question can be answered next time.
The claim that every island had been visited before listing was removed from the About page.
It contradicted the verification block on every record. A visit is now marked per record, and only where there is a film or an editor on the island.
