Kaibu is one island of a small private archipelago in the northern Lau group of Fiji, among the most remote inhabited water in the South Pacific. The archipelago was developed as Vatuvara Private Islands, with guest accommodation on Kaibu and the other islands held as conservation land. It has since changed hands and been renamed, and the earlier chapter is held as a separate record here.
This register holds Kaibu as Status Unverified. The change of ownership, the current operating model and whether the island is presently taking guests could not be confirmed from open sources, and no capacity or rate should be published on the strength of this entry. The archipelago itself — the reef, the forest, the remoteness — is not in question.

It is wrong for guests who need an easy journey — the Lau group is a long way past Nadi. And it is wrong for those expecting hotel infrastructure, given the villa-based model. Those wanting confirmed Fijian remoteness should look at Turtle Island or Kokomo.
