Over Yonder Cay
A Bahamian cay with four houses, four wind turbines and its own golf holes.
Over Yonder Cay lies in the Exumas, reached by private aircraft to its own airstrip or by boat, and covers about eighty acres of beach, ridge and dune. It is let whole to one party and holds nothing else: no hotel, no other guests, no arrivals during a stay. The Exuma banks around it are shallow, clear and largely empty.
Four houses hold up to around thirty guests, with a staff to match, a private marina able to take a large yacht, and three golf holes cut into the ridge. Four wind turbines and a solar array supply most of the island's power — an unusual investment for a private estate and visible from every part of it.

Who it is not for
Over Yonder Cay is wrong for a small party — four houses and a full staff assume a group. It is wrong for guests wanting a resort's dining and spa choice, which does not exist. And it is wrong for travellers who want to reach the island on a scheduled flight. Those wanting a smaller Bahamian island should look at Fowl Cay or Little Whale Cay.
