Deep Water Cay lies off the eastern end of Grand Bahama, reached by boat or by the cay's own airstrip. It was founded in the 1950s as one of the first dedicated bonefishing lodges in the world, on flats that are still among the most productive in the Bahamas, and for decades it defined the format that fishing lodges everywhere copied.
