Le Bora Bora occupies Motu Tevairoa, a private motu on the barrier reef of Bora Bora, reached by boat from the airport. The motu is the property's; the lagoon is shared with the island's other resorts, its boats and the town, which is the honest limit of privacy in this lagoon and applies to every property in it.
Around 108 overwater and beach villas hold the resort. It is run by Pearl Resorts, a Polynesian group rather than an international brand, and the difference shows in staffing, food and a less formal manner than the American and French houses across the water. The house reef and the lagoon garden are the property's own.

Those wanting brand certainty should look at Four Seasons Bora Bora; those wanting emptiness should look at Motu Nao Nao.
