Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi
A Raa Atoll resort opening with a villa on its own island inside it.
Ranfushi lies in Raa Atoll in the northern Maldives, reached by seaplane. The property is announced as Bvlgari's first Maldivian resort, with the group's Italian design language applied to an island setting for the first time. Raa is quieter than the central atolls and its reefs carry less traffic.
The published plan runs to around fifty-four keys — beach and overwater villas — plus a Bvlgari Villa standing on a separate island within the same lagoon, which makes it a private island within a resort in the same sense as Voavah or the Cheval Blanc Private Island. Opening is stated for 2026 or 2027. Nothing has been verified on the ground and figures may change.

Ranfushi is wrong for anyone planning travel before an opening is confirmed. It is wrong for guests who want a property with a track record and reviews. And it is wrong for travellers seeking barefoot informality, which is not this group's register. And it is wrong for anyone relying on the announced key count, which may change before opening. Those wanting design-led Maldives now should look at JOALI or Cheval Blanc Randheli.
