Kuda Huraa lies in North Malé Atoll, twenty-five minutes by speedboat from the airport, on a small island laid out as a village — sand streets, coral-walled buildings and a plan borrowed from Maldivian settlements rather than from resort practice. One resort occupies it, with the spa on its own islet across the lagoon.
Around ninety-six bungalows and villas make up the property. A marine discovery centre runs turtle rehabilitation and coral work, and the resort's surf programme uses the North Malé breaks, which are among the most consistent in the country. The children's programme is substantial and the property has long been the group's family island in the Maldives.
