Cauayan is a private island in the Bacuit archipelago near El Nido in Palawan, reached by boat from Lio airport. The archipelago is the limestone karst landscape that Palawan is known for — sheer cliffs rising from clear water, lagoons reachable only at certain tides — and the island carries one resort and nothing else.
