Huma Island Resort

A Palawan island resort near Busuanga, held for verification.

Full entry · sources recorded · verification stamp pending

Huma Island lies off Busuanga in northern Palawan, reached by flight to Busuanga and then boat, in the same waters as Coron's wrecks and limestone lakes. The island is small and carries one resort with overwater and beach villas around a shallow lagoon.

This register holds the entry as Status Unverified. Reports of closure, refurbishment and reopening have followed one another and the property's current operating position could not be established from open sources. No capacity, rate or availability should be inferred from this record; the entry exists so the name resolves and the island is tracked.

Coron's wrecks are the surrounding asset. The Japanese fleet sunk here in 1944 makes this some of the best wreck diving in Asia, and it does not depend on any resort.

Tracked, not recommended. The register carries the island because it exists, not because a stay can be planned on the strength of this page.

Who it is not for

Huma is wrong for any traveller who needs a confirmed booking. It is wrong for guests who want a documented operating record. And it is wrong for those comparing it against described properties, since its terms are unknown. And it is wrong for guests who expect published rates, since none can be relied on. Those wanting documented Palawan islands should look at Amanpulo, Pangulasian or Cauayan, all three described in full here.
